Edmund Blunden

This is one of a series of On the Trail of the Poets of the Great War.  Born in 1896 he was still a school boy at the outbreak of war in 1914. He volunteered in 1915 served mainly on the western Front and was never wounded and died in 1974.  This slim volumn takes the reader through Edmund Blunden's life and service in the war. There are a good selection of photographs, maps and drawings throughout the book.  This is not a poetry book but does include a wide selection of his poems.  This is an ideal book as an introduction to Edmund Blunden and is an easy read.
