This excellent and comprehensive Dictionary of WW1 contains facts and figurers of Actions; Campaigns; Theatres of War; Fighters and Commanders; Forces; Weapons and Equipment; Tactics and Strategies; Politics and Diplomacy and the Home Front.  While not a book (560 pages long) to read from cover to cover, it is an invaluable companion to dip into discovering a multitude of facts about the Great War.  Thoroughly recommended for the serious student of military history who needs to check facts concerning WW1.
